Very elegant 19th c. neoclassical English fireplace mantel in carved statuary marble with Siena inlay.
This antique mantel was imported from England for a stunning 1935 South Hill residence in Toronto, designed by Mackenzie Waters, associate architect for Maple Leaf Gardens. - the home was actually built using the same yellow brick as MLG. The living room and *this fireplace* were featured in Canadian Homes & Gardens in 1936 🌿
